Driving the Carretera Austral
2010-03-05We are now in Chile driving south on the Carretera Austral. Right now we are in Puerto Puyehue. We are staying at a hostel in their half finished attic where we have excellent internet connection
The Carretera Austral is wonderful and in very good condition…so far.

2010-01-07We are now in Antofagasta, Chile. The Dakar Rally 2010 is at stage 6 now and it’s real fun to follow. Yesterday we went to a control point to look at the competitors race by. 2009-12-21That our bikes got delayed by a week wasn’t all bad. We got the opportunity to borrow a cabin in a place called “La Ballena”. We took a bus from Viña del Mar and arrived 1 1/2 hours later to a very nice cabin with a beautiful view of the ocean.
